What is the best time to visit?

All year round! Ikoma and surrounds enjoys a beautiful, mild climate with an average daytime temperature of 30°C.

June to October offers optimal wildlife viewing conditions. The sparse vegetation and concentrated water sources make animals more visible and easier to spot. Additionally, the lower humidity and minimal rainfall enhance the overall safari experience.

November – December is suitable for travellers who prefer a quieter experience amidst lush surroundings.

Green season runs from March to May bringing occasional rains that enhance the area's beauty, create lush scenery, and is ideal for bird enthusiasts, as migratory birds arrive, enriching the avian diversity.

Nice experience!

Great lodge. In the middle of nature. Zebras, giraffes and pumbaa passed by our tent. Meals are good. The kind and helpful staff.

The perfect base camp for a safari in Tanzania!

This lodge is simply exceptional. Ideally located in one of the best safari regions in Africa, at the gates of the Serengeti National Park and the Grumeti and Ikorongo reserves. Accessible from Arusha, Lake Manyara and the Serengeti Klein Gate, and also by taxi (close to the airstrip). Built in an authentic safari style, it combines traditional charm with high-end modern comfort. Its central location in the middle of the most iconic national parks is simply incredible. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the night safari, an unforgettable experience. Seeing the African bush come alive after sunset is a magical moment we will never forget. We highly recommend this lodge to all those who wish to immerse themselves fully in the Serengeti, while enjoying a warm welcome and exceptional access to nature. We look forward to returning!

Journey of a lifetime

What a fantastic trip. Accommodations top and what a luxury. Muktar the driver showed us everything, he tried so hard for us. What a wonderful person. So taken care of us. But also the restaurants were top fantastic food. And the staff what a toppers. Were constantly waiting for us.
